His Instagram profile provides impressive evidence of the fact that Jannik Sinner is now moving into the spheres of a superstar. 2.3 million fans follow the Sextner on the popular social network. And some of them took their breath away on Tuesday evening.
Shortly before his departure to the USA – where Sinner will be playing at the Masters tournament in Indian Wells next week – the Puster native posted a photo and wrote: “Tomorrow we’re off to the USA. See you there.” What shocked the fans was the color of the picture: The Sinner snapshot was colored in black and white – and that often doesn’t mean anything good on social media.
There were tons of comments under the post from users who were really frightened. “This black and white photo almost made me pee my pants,” said one user. “Jannik, please don’t post a picture with these colors again. This makes me throw a fit,” wrote another, while another noted: “When I saw this photo, my first thought was that you were taking a break from tennis.”
Jannik Sinner can only smile at these comments. Next week, the strongest tennis player in the world wants to cause a sensation again on the tennis tour and start his next title attack at the Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells. In the best case scenario, Sinner returns to his homeland as number 2 in the world.
