Starting for the first time in the colors of his new club Mechelen, Slimani left a strong impression against Antwerp while delivering an assist before his exit in the 68th minute.

Established in a leading attacking role in a two-man attack, Slimani was very dangerous in the first half. He often stalled in order to free himself from marking and send beautiful balls to his teammates who were unable to realize these opportunities in the first half.
