Ireland equals Six Nations winning record

Ireland is currently the benchmark in European rugby. The world number two behind world champions South Africa celebrated their eleventh victory in a row with a 31-7 win over Wales in the Six Nations on Saturday in Dublin and are heading towards a repeat of the Grand Slam as the first team since France in 1998.

Defending champions Ireland could not only beat all other opponents in two consecutive years, but also set the sole record for consecutive wins with 12 if they beat England in two weeks in London.

The English lost 21:30 to Scotland at Murray Field in Edinburgh on Saturday. The home team’s outstanding player was Duhan van Merwe with three tries (21st, 30th and 45th minute).
