The Jaén Fairs and Congress Palace has witnessed a new triumph for the Boadillan athlete Irati Unamunzaga Altuna who has become three-time champion in the Spanish Archery Room Championship held from February 8 to 11. Unamunzaga broke Spain’s previous record in the mixed junior team and in the senior women’s team, consolidating her position as an exceptional athlete on the national scene.
On this occasion, Irati has once again climbed to the top of the podium, proclaiming herself the Spanish Junior Recurve Bow champion in the 2023/2024 season both individually, as a mixed team in the room and for women’s teams in the room.
The 2023-24 season has also seen her compete on the international stage, where she participated in the prestigious Nimes Archery Tournament 2024, held January 19-21 in Nimes, France. In this tournament, she stood out by finishing runner-up in the Indoor World Series, demonstrating her ability and competence at the world level.
Currently, Irati Unamunzaga continues to be immersed in the qualification process to secure her position as a member of the Absolute National Archery Team.
