“I’m sure I’m not going to give up”

MADRID, 22 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa is clear that, although she is going through “this very difficult time” due to her back problems that are barely allowing her to perform, she is not going to “give up” and that she will continue “fighting” to return to ” enjoy soon” on the slopes.

Badosa has been dealing with back problems since mid-2023, the year in which he had to permanently stop his season after Wimbledon. In 2024 he returned, but the discomfort continued and he had to withdraw from the tournaments in Hua Hin (Thailand) and, last Tuesday, from Dubai, in addition to withdrawing from the Abu Dhabi tournament.

“I want to thank all the people who have been sending me messages of support at this very difficult time for me. This is being a long process, but what I am sure of is that I am not going to give up,” Badosa wrote this Thursday on his official profile of ‘X’.

The Catalan player, who became number two in the world in 2022, made it clear that tennis is her “life” and her “passion.” “I’m going to give everything to enjoy it again soon. We keep fighting,” she stressed.
