On the Canadian ice of the Intact Assurance Center de glaces, on the opening day of the sixth and final stage of the speed skating World Cup of the season, Davide Ghiotto won the long distance specialty ranking.
The thirty-year-old from Vicenza in Quebec City, the scene of the last stage of the circuit, placed second in the 5,000 metres, preceded only by the Canadian Ted-Jan Bloemen.
Also worth highlighting is the fourth place of the usually punctual Michele Malfatti (Fiamme Gialle), who reached fifth position in the specialty rankings, obtaining six placings between third and seventh place.
