On the sidelines of the opening of the national dialogue which begins this Monday, February 26, 2024, the President of the Republic, Macky Sall, announced his decision to refer the matter to the National Assembly, as of this Wednesday, for an Amnesty Law.
“I have decided to petition the National Assembly for an Amnesty Law” for the people concerned for “facts” occurring “between 2021 and 2024”, said the Head of State at the opening of the national dialogue.

Remember that these consultations, according to President Macky Sall, were called to find a consensus for the holding of the Presidential election in the best conditions and as soon as possible.
