An official statement from the club said this morning: “HSV is drawing conclusions from the sporting ups and downs of the second half of the season so far. Coach Tim Walter and his assistants Julian Hübner and Filip Tapalovic have been released with immediate effect.”
Boldt: “After the disappointing home defeat against Hannover 96, we carried out a situation analysis and came to the decision that we had to make a change in order not to jeopardize our goals for the season. Our fluctuations in performance in the last few games have been too great and we are completely convinced that we will achieve the necessary balance and stability in our game in this constellation over the next few weeks.”

Walter came to HSV in the summer of 2021. And had gained trust for a long time.
