[뉴스투데이=김충기 기자] Hwaseong City (Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun) held the opening ceremony of the Hwaseong City Indoor Badminton Court in Osan-dong on the 31st.
The event was attended by guests from all walks of life, including Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun, Hwaseong City Council Chairman Kim Kyung-hee, members of the National Assembly, provincial council members, city council members, heads of social groups, and local residents. The event included a project progress report, presentation of appreciation plaques, commemorative speeches and congratulatory remarks for guests, a tape-cutting ceremony, and commemorative photos. It proceeded in that order.
Hwaseong City’s indoor badminton court temporarily opened on December 8 last year and was operated free of charge during the temporary operation period, and converted to a paid court from February 1.
Facility opening hours are from 6 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and 6 AM to 8 PM on weekends and public holidays, and can be used by time slot through the on-site ticket machine.
In his commemorative speech, Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun said, “Hwaseong City’s indoor badminton court is a space that can improve the health of our citizens and further vitalize their lives,” and added, “To improve the health and leisure life of citizens, we will expand infrastructure befitting Hwaseong City, a city of 1 million people. “I will continue to work hard,” he said.
