As several NBA insiders unanimously report, the Golden State Warriors and the successful coach have agreed on a two-year contract extension. This makes the 58-year-old the highest-paid coach in the league.
The nine-time NBA champion’s original contract would have expired after the current season, the new contract will run until the end of the 2025/26 season and will earn him $17.5 million per year – no other NBA coach has ever earned more .
After three years as general manager of the Phoenix Suns, Kerr has been head coach of the Warriors since 2014 and has since shaped an extremely successful era with four titles – most recently in 2022.
