Among the 170 members of the Judo Club du Pays Glazik, aged 4 to 65, bringing together the dojos of Briec and Ergué Gabéric, Giovanni Hein-Fertil, from Edern, young hopeful aged 17, black belt 1st dan at 15 years old, has just passed the grade of 2nd dan black belt, after having passed four tests: technique, kata (codified technical demonstration), competition (100 points to be scored in ten fights by ippon) and refereeing (theoretical and practical examination ).
This ranking follows that in the quarter-final, at the Brittany junior championship, on February 10, in Concarneau, the last event to obtain the belt.
Joining the Briec club at the age of 4, the judoka practices this discipline at the rate of three weekly training sessions, while following his studies, in professional baccalaureate, at Likès, in Quimper.
“It’s a good way to let off steam, to remain humble in controlling your emotions, applicable in everyday life. I invite the youngest to persevere despite the difficulties, to obtain good results,” notes the young man, already full of good advice. The judoka benefits from the advice of Chloé Majal, 4th dan black belt, who has led the training for three years.
