Bankruptcy for the Wagner brothers

The successful streak of the German basketball world champions Franz and Moritz Wagner in the NBA is broken. Two other German professionals also lose.

The short streak of success of the German basketball world champions Franz and Moritz Wagner in the NBA has come to an end. With the Orlando Magic, the brothers lost 92:109 to the Atlanta Hawk after three wins in a row. Franz Wagner impressed as his team’s best thrower with 19 points. Moritz Wagner came off the bench and recorded two points and five rebounds.

Maximilian Kleber and Daniel Theis also suffered defeats on Monday night. Kleber (three points) and the Dallas Mavericks were defeated 111:133 against the Indiana Pacers for the first time since seven wins in a row. Theis (eight) lost with the Los Angeles Clippers at home to the Sacramento Kings 107:123.

Nikola Jokic put in an outstanding performance: The Serbian center led NBA champion Denver Nuggets to a 119:103 win over the Golden State Warriors with his 18th triple-double this season. The 29-year-old Jokic, who has been voted the NBA’s most valuable player twice, had 32 points, 16 rebounds and 16 assists.
