What are your ambitions in Pontivy?
I’m having a super complicated season with few victories and few reference matches. There, the idea is to regain confidence, sensations. There are big seeds like Victor Reichert, a friend of Saint-Jacques who is on a big winning streak, or Lenny Hubert, a double French champion who is 13 years old and who is very, very strong.
Are there any chances of facing them?
Yes. It’s possible. There is also Vincent Toudic, my pet peeve. I would love to play it. I think I’m able to do something because I’m on good workouts. This is the kind of victory I want to seek. I want to be the scary outsider rather than the easy guy to play.
What about your goals for 2024?
I am preparing for a marathon (Paris at the beginning of April). I’m aiming for 3:15. It’s my first. But the bad remains the most important. The objective is to return to N2 and reach the top 300 or even top 250 by the end of the year. I came down to 460th. The idea is to go back and negotiate important deadlines like the Lanester tournament and the Morbihan championships that the club organizes.
