Approval of new specifications for Home Help and proposals to improve road and fishing infrastructure

The ordinary January plenary session of the Provincial Council of Cádiz, chaired by Almudena Martínez, has marked a significant start to the year with the approval of proposals in areas of social welfare and infrastructure. Among the most notable decisions, a new specifications for contracting services of Home Help, with a budget of more than 63 million euros and a focus on quality and supervision of services.

The hiring process has been restructured, prioritizing aspects such as technical project and management, and shifting the emphasis from the economic offer of companies. This change in the tender implies a progressive increase in the price per hour, which varies depending on the lot, and a gradual adjustment in the number of hours to maintain the economic viability of the contract without compromising the quality of the service.

In the area of ​​infrastructure, unanimity has been achieved in the proposal to request the expansion of a third lane on the AP-4 in the province of Cádiz, a crucial project for the economic development of the region. Likewise, a motion has been approved to review and improve current policies in relation to the Andalusian fishing sectorseeking to protect the interests of thousands of families dependent on this industry.

Other relevant proposals include the support for the solution of recurring power outages in several locations in the province, improvements in electrical networks and the institutional declaration in partridge hunting support with claim as Asset of Cultural Interest of Andalusia.

The Plenary Session has also addressed issues of national relevance, such as the position regarding the political alliances in the context of ETA terrorismand has formalized the resignation of Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix to his record as provincial deputy.
