Feyenoord will be missing Quilindschy Hartman and Alireza Jahanbakhsh against FC Groningen on Thursday evening. They will miss the semi-final of the KNVB Cup. Trainer Arne Slot explained before the match that Hartman is ill and that Jahanbakhsh has been out of action for longer with a groin injury.
“Alireza hit his groin with his first shot after coming on as a substitute.” says Slot ESPN. “He made it to the end on character, but will be out of action for the next few weeks. Quilindschy is indeed ill. He has the flu virus. That is why we cannot have him today.”
Striker Ayase Ueda is in the starting line-up. The Japanese has not scored many goals yet. Slot: “That will also have to do with the playing minutes.
