“On the evening of Tuesday 27 February – we read in a note -, at the invitation of the Party of Socialists and Democrats, Stefano Bonaccini President of the Emilia-Romagna Region and of the Italian Democratic Party visited the Republic to meet the leaders of the PSD and participate, as a speaker, in the public conference at the Teatro Titano entitled: “San Marino and Emilia Romagna: present and future of a great alliance. Exploring new avenues of cooperation on the European horizon”.
President Bonaccini, upon his arrival in the area, was received at the PSD headquarters by the Party leaders. The meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and friendship, represented an opportunity to discuss topics of common interest and the main issues that the two countries are facing in this delicate political phase, both at a local and national level.
In the suggestive setting of the Titano Theatre, the large audience present listened attentively to the dialogue, moderated by Alan Gasperoni, between the Secretary of the PSD, Gerardo Giovagnoli, the Governor of the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Secretary of State for Finance, Marco Gatti and Libera’s Secretary, Matteo Ciacci.
The debate focused on bilateral issues of common interest and, in particular, on public health, tourism, education and training, cross-border work and roads on which important agreements have been signed and are being defined. The four speakers highlighted that from the next signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union, further mutual opportunities and fruitful collaborations will open up, with San Marino’s entry into the single market.
The evening was enriched by the speech of the Hon. Andrea Gnassi, deputy of the PD in the Chamber, friend of the PSD who, in his role as Mayor, promoted the signing of the first operational protocol between the Republic of San Marino and the City of Rimini then signed with the Mayor Jamil Sadegolvaad.
In his role as President of the PD, Bonaccini invited the San Marino reformist area to look at the things to do, with the planning and operations that must distinguish the activity of a left that aspires to govern”.
