Exciting Finals Set for Veneto ‘Boys’ Group in S. Martino Buonassociazione

The finals of the Veneto “boys” group will be held in S. Martino Buonassociazione

Finals Sunday in San Martino Buonassociazione at the ”Barbarani” middle school gym in via Bentegodi for the 2024 Winter League, Itas Mutua trophy.

Playing for the title of champion of the Veneto group in the boys category will be: San Martino Junior, ASD Phoenix Baseball & Softball, Crazy Sanbonifacese and BT Verona.

The match between the hosts San Marino Junior and ASD Phoenix Baseball & Softball will open the proceedings at 2.00 pm. The second semi-final, however, will see Crazy Sanbonifacese and BT Verona opposing each other with playball set for 3.15pm.

The two Scythian teams defeated in the semi-finals will then face each other at 4.30 pm for the lowest step of the podium while the two winners will battle in the final at 5.45 pm.

The matches will last 45 minutes and in the event of a tie, a tie break will be played.

The winner of the Veneto group will join Adriatic LNG Rovigo fresh champion of the Veneto ”East” group at the national finals of the 2024 Winter League by Itas Mutua.

The National Student Finals in Bologna

The 2024 Winter League is coming to an end, Itas Mutua trophy, student category. The indoor competition, on Sunday 25 February, will end its journey at the PalaRecord in via del Pilastro n.8 in Bologna.

The teams that will take to the field and battle for the title of 2024 Italian indoor champion will be: Torre Pedrera Falcons (champions of the Central group), Conegliano (champions of the North group), Ravenna Baseball and Palladio Vicenza.

The dance will be opened by the semi-final between the Falcons and Palladio at 9:00 am while, at 10:10 am, Conegliano and Ravenna will take to the field for the other semi-final.

The two losing teams will then face each other at 11.20 for the bronze medal while the two winners will play at 12.20 for the Italian title.

The matches will last 60 minutes or 5 rounds of play.

To reward the participating teams, and the athletes who stand out during Sunday’s matches, there will be Marco Nanni, former coach of San Marino, Fortitudo, Modena and Castenaso, winner of 4 European club titles, 5 Italian championships, 1 Italian super cup ,2 times coach of the year as well as having participated in the Italian expedition to the World Baseball Classic and Michele Toriaco, former pitcher for Parma and Modena who participated in the 2000 Athens Olympics and silver in the 1997 European Championships.
