The Soudal-Quick Step rider won the time trial this Saturday.
The Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-Quick Step) won the 4th stage of the Tour of the Algarve, a 22-kilometer time trial in Albufeira, taking the lead in the general classification on the same occasion .
The exercise world champion stripped the Colombian Daniel Felipe Martinez of his leader’s jersey.
The “little cannibal” was 17 seconds ahead of the American Magnus Sheffield. The Swiss Stefan Kung took 3rd place.
The 5th and final stage, Sunday, between Faro and Alto do Malhao (165.8 km), will determine the successor to Daniel Felipe Martinez, winner last year.
