Novak Djokovic will play at the Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells for the first time in five years.
This emerged from the entry list published by the tournament organizer on Wednesday.
“Djoker” missed the last three editions because the United States banned unvaccinated foreigners from entering the country. In 2020 the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Djokovic is aiming for his sixth title at the tournament that begins in early March. With five triumphs, the world number one is joint record winner with Roger Federer.
The three-time Indian Wells champion Rafael Nadal is also expected to be there. The Spaniard missed the Australian Open held last month due to a torn muscle fiber.
