Diego Schwartzman’s Early Exit from ATP 500 in Acapulco

The Argentine tennis player Diego Schwartzman still cannot find his way and was quickly eliminated from the ATP 500 in Acapulco, in Mexico, after losing in the early hours of this Tuesday with the Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic by 4/6, 6/3 and 6/1.

“El Peque” Schwartzman, relegated to 117th place in the ATP world ranking after having won his last match on October 17 (against Francisco Cerúndolo, in the opening round of the Tokyo ATP), lost to Kecmanovic (53) then of two and a quarter hours and after having played an acceptable first set.

The Serbian will play his next match against a German who will emerge from the cross between Alexander Zverev (6), top favorite for the title, and Daniel Altmaier (57).

The ATP 500 in Acapulco, on a fast surface and with prizes of $2,377,565, had Juan Martín Del Potro from Tandil as champion in the 2018 edition, while two other Argentine tennis players also won it when it was played on clay, Agustín Calleri in 2003, and Juan Ignacio Chela, in the 2000 and 2007 editions.
