Daniel Martínez, after the third stage, maintains the lead of the Vuelta al Algarve.

The third stage of the Tour of the Algarve in Portugal was held between the towns of Vila Real de Santo António and Tavira.

The stage took place on a total route of 192.2 kilometers, including two third category mountain prizes.

In this the Belgian Wout Van Aert took the stage victory after a cumulative time of 4 hours, 50 minutes and 57 seconds.

For his part, the Colombian Daniel Felipe Martínez reached the finish line with the peloton and maintained the advantage, of four seconds, over the Belgian Remco Evenepoel.

Sergio Higuita also arrived with the group and maintained his fourth place overall, 16 seconds behind the leader.

This Saturday, February 17, the fourth stage, an individual time trial, will be held in the city of Albufeira. The total route is 22.2 kilometers with two intermediate points at 7.1 and 17.1 km.
