Culinary Delights at Allegiant Stadium on Opening Night of Super Bowl

The Opening Night of the Super Bowl gave us an idea of what we can expect in terms of gastronomy in a city as glamorous as Las Vegas, since nothing can go wrong for the most important game of the NFL season.

Executive chef, Sean Kinoshita told us about some dishes that will be available at Allegiant Stadium before and during the game between Chiefs and 49ers.

“I’m the executive chef, my job is to ensure food safety. We monitor the quality of the food and make sure the menus are the best.

“Everyone here is VIP, all the NFL team owners come. The menus are a little different, they’re themed. We get the best meat available, Japan holds a competition every five years to find out which prefecture has the best meat wagyu from the country and it is the product we get.

“We also have lobsters as big as a baby. For the Opening Day meal it took us two days, for the Super Bowl it will take us a week.”

Mixology is not far behind, as explained by the stadium’s head bartender, Tony Abou Ganim.

“I’m in charge of all the special cocktails including the ‘snake venom’ that we will prepare for the Super Bowl named in honor of the late Raiders quarterback, Ken Stabler.

“We have prepared four special drinks for the Super Bowl and two additional ones for the Kansas City and San Francisco holidays,” he explained.

Kansas City and San Francisco meet again in the Super Bowl four years after that duel in which Patrick Mahomes led the comeback to win his first championship ring.
