Coach Mario Gomez takes full responsibility for Bhayangkara’s defeat

We trained well, but in the match we played less well

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Bhayangkara FC coach Mario Gomez stated that he took full responsibility for the 1-4 defeat suffered by his team against PSS Sleman, in the League 1 match which was played at the Police Science High School (STIK) Stadium, Jakarta, Thursday.

Gomez has officially trained Bhayangkara since November 2023. As it is now, Bhayangkara was currently slumped at the bottom of the standings with a collection of eight points.

“So today we didn’t play well, but this is all my responsibility. In the first half we played well, we should have won in the first half. But in the second half we didn’t play well either. “There were no wrong words from the players,” Gomez said at the post-match press conference.

Bhayangkara equalized through Matis Mier’s goal, after PSS opened the scoring thanks to Ricky Cawor’s goal. However, goals from Hokky Caraka, Ajak Chol, and Ricki Cawor’s second goal from a penalty ensured the hosts’ defeat.

“I think it’s good motivation, it’s very important. They tried, but yes, they could only score one goal. When Mr. Mardji gave encouragement the game looked more enthusiastic, but it turned out we lacked options, we didn’t score a goal. “We didn’t play well,” he concluded.
