Pitcher Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly agreed on a contract, report columnists New York Post Jon Heyman et Joel Sherman mardi.
Kershaw would undergo a physical on Thursday to confirm his return to the team for a 17th season. The future Hall of Famer underwent shoulder surgery in November and is not expected to return until the second half of the next campaign.
The Dodgers will also be able to place Kershaw’s name on the 60-day injured list starting Thursday, given that they will begin their season March 20 and 21 in South Korea.
Kershaw maintained a 2.46 ERA in 2023, a slightly lower average than he has (2.48) since the start of his career.
