World record for a Ligurian athlete. In fact, the European Indoor Archery Championships began on Tuesday 20 February 2024 in Varazdin, Croatia, with the first qualifying rounds. Cinzia Noziglia, from Zoagli, immediately showed off.
The Fiamme Oro athlete achieved the bare bow world record on 60 arrows with a total of 556 points, surpassing by four points the best world performance of February 2023 by the Swede Lina Bjorklund. Cinzia Noziglia obviously also took first place in the women’s ranking in which the other Italians Fabia Rovatti and Alessandra Bigogno finished in fifth and seventh place with 517 and 516 points.
The mayor of Zoagli Fabio De Ponti comments: “I congratulate Cinzia, our fellow citizen, for this new record which adds to her very long palmares! Good luck, Zoagli is rooting for you”.
