Cavaliers’ Struss Hits Game-Winning Shot From 59 Feet to Defeat Mavericks 121-119

“Cavaliers” beat Dallas “Mavericks” at home with the result 121:119.

Paul Jemaine Washington put the Mavericks in the lead with less than three seconds left in regulation off a Luka Doncic pass. However, Cavaliers guard Struss had the final say, playing the ball up the court to Evan Mobley, immediately receiving it back and making the game-winning shot from nearly 18 meters (59 feet or 17.98 meters).

This is the second-longest game-winning shot at the buzzer in NBA history. The farthest shot of this type belongs to Devonte Graham, who in 2021 made the winning shot from a distance of 18.6 meters (61 feet).

Struss was also the second most productive basketball player in the ranks of the Cavaliers in this match, scoring 21 points only with long shots.

The Cavaliers, after a weak start to the season, have been able to rise significantly in the Eastern Conference standings, taking second place with a record of 38-19.
