The weeks follow one another and are similar for Caroline Garcia. The French number one lost at the start in Dubai against the American Ashlyn Krueger, 19 years old and 74th in the WTA rankings.
After winning the first round without too much difficulty, the tricolor broke in the last two rounds (3-6, 6-3, 6-3). This is his fourth defeat in a row, the third in the first round of a tournament after Abu Dhabi against Cirstea (6-7[4]6-4, 6-4) then Doha against Osaka (7-5, 6-4).
