Pablo Sánchez Crego and María Azucena Díaz Calvo have won the XVI edition of the half marathon A Coruña 21 disputed this morning through the streets of the city, with a time of 1:05.11 and 1:19.34 respectively. Between the C21 and 5K tests developed this Sunday, more than 2,500 runners, who defied bad weather conditions. In the men’s category, the second place was Workneh Fikre (1:05.14) and the third, Eric Nzambimana (1:19.34). The second runner classified in the female category was Sonia Abad (1:25.01) and in third position came María Jesús Conde (1:25.26).
He half marathon It maintained the route of the last two editions, with the start and finish at the Obelisk. The first part ran through Ramón y Cajal, Salvador de Madariaga and the port of Coruña. In the second, the athletes crossed the beaches of Riazor, Orzán and Matadero along the promenade and crossed San Andrés to reach Puerta Real and the finish line.

In parallel, the 5K test with the objective that the participants acclimatize to the usual distances of the popular races Coruña Corre, which start in March. In the women’s category, the best were Irati Lorza (19.06), Tania López (19.46) and Yolanda Gutiérrez (20.01).
