Bucks Extends Winning Streak Against Mavs Despite Kleber’s Efforts

After the break, the Bucks picked up exactly where they left off and extended the run to 38:10. After that, the Mavs picked themselves up again. Tim Hardaway Jr. (18, 6/15) had some good minutes, Maxi Kleber was also able to convince us, who started at center for the injured Dereck Lively II. Kleber put up a season-high 21 points (8/11 FG, 4/7 3P) in 34 minutes, giving Dallas the lead from downtown heading into the final period.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was simply too good in this one or the Mavs found no means against the Greek. The two-time MVP scored 16 of his 48 points (20/28 FG, 10 assists, 5 steals) in the final period and could not be stopped by a zone. Damian Lillard was also on fire, who only needed ten throws for his 30 points (10/11 FG, 5/5 3P, 5/6 FT). Only the 6 turnovers were a small flaw for Dame.

A stepback three from the corner was the final killer for Dallas (126:114), who allowed 72 percent from the field in the final period. This time, Brook Lopez was missing from Milwaukee for personal reasons; for the Mavs, Josh Green (20, 7/12, 9 rebounds) was fourth in the league to score double figures.
