This Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Thierry Santelli, Vice-President of the Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Council, delegate for Sport for all, Handisport, Health Sport and the Promotion of women’s sport, presented sports equipment to the clubs of archery department.
Since 2019, the institution has provided sports associations with equipment adapted for quality practice: after football, sailing, tennis, judo and even volleyball in 2019, then disabled sports and adapted sports in 2020, as well as that basketball, handball, gymnastics and cycling in 2022 and 2023, badminton, athletics and fencing at the end of last year, it is the turn of the archery clubs of benefit from a exceptional endowment.
The Department’s services work with clubs to identify their needs for small sports materials and equipment for practitioners.
The Department supports the practice of archery in the territory and its 1328 licensees (dont 398 female) thanks to a grant of more than 22 550 € allocated to the operation of associations and the organization of sporting events in 2023.
