Bojan Hodak Invites the U23 National Team to Call Persib Bandung Players, But There Are Conditions

TRIBUNJABAR.ID – Persib Bandung coach, Bojan Hodak, invited the Indonesian U23 National Team to use players.

However, Bojan Hodak proposed conditions for this, namely League 1 removing the rule of having to play one U-23 player as has been done this season.

The Indonesian U-23 national team will be U23 players for League 1 clubs for the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.

However, PSSI’s wishes were not very smooth. There are at least 5 League 1 clubs who have spoken out against releasing their players.

Persita Tangerang and PSS Sleman are the two latest clubs to speak out against releasing their players to the Indonesian U-23 national team.

Previously, Persija, Borneo and Persib had already spoken.

Persija and Borneo FC firmly refuse to release their players to the Indonesian U-23 national team because League 1 is still running and they admit that they need all players to focus on achieving their targets.

Persita Tangerang, through its coach Divaldo Alves, has also spoken.

They will open up opportunities to release but not all players.

“We will see in the future, discuss with management,” said Divaldo Alves.

“Who can go there (get a call). Later we will let you know (the decision).”

“I don’t want to focus on other clubs, because we know that last year and now many clubs are playing with U-23 players, young players.”

“There are several U-19 and U-20 players, there is EPA. All clubs have many players who can play at U-23,” he added.

Apart from Persik, PSS Sleman also spoke about how difficult it was for them to release players to the Indonesian U-23 national team.
