The Bad Säckinger Judo Club Kawaishi has a southern German champion in its ranks. Belana Bittl won the title at the South German U18 Individual Championships in Heilbronn at the weekend. She started with a bye in the weight class up to 48 kilograms, which had ten athletes.
In the second round, however, the Bavarian champion was a challenger who had to be defeated. In the next fight against the Württemberg champion, Belana Bittl left no doubts right from the start and won the fight early with Ippon. In the final, like two weeks before at the state individual championships in Villingen, there was a duel with the Baden champion. This time no attack from her opponent came through and Belana Bittl was able to secure the championship title after a dominating fight.
With the victory, the fighter from the Kawaishi judo club qualified for the German U18 individual championship on March 3rd in Leipzig.
