In the women’s singles, the Dutch title was surprising for 22-year-old Chloë Mayer. The player from Duinwijck played a strong tournament and won after a dazzling first game 26-24 and 21-13 against 21-year-old Amy Tan (4, VELO).
Even more surprises in doubles
In the women’s doubles, the national title went to the second-placed pair Alyssa Tirtosentono / Imke van der Aar. The duo won in the final 21-16 and 21-14 against the tandem Kirsten de Wit / Kelly van Buiten, the number one on the placement list.
Tirtosentono was able to win her second title of this year in the mixed doubles with Ties van der Lecq. In the final, however, after three exciting games, Brian Wassink and Jaymie Laurens won 21-14, 18-21 and 21-16.
In the men’s doubles, the first-placed duo Andy Buijk / Ruben Jille more than fulfilled their placement. In the final battle, Buijk and Jille were better than Ties van der Lecq / Brian Wassink (2) with 21-13 and 21-12. It was Jille’s fourth national title.
