The Munich team will be playing in the Champions League round of 16 (9 p.m., DAZN and in Live ticker on bild.de) bei Lazio Rom.
After his tactical mistake in the top game against Leverkusen (0-3), when he relied on a three-man chain for the first time of the season, Thomas Tuchel is now reversing the role. Against the Italians he relies on the tried and tested 4-2-3-1 and, among others, Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Müller.

Who is this Schmitt?
Schmitt sits on the bench as the third goalkeeper together with number two, Sven Ulreich. He normally plays for the U19s and has already played two games for the second team in the regional league this season. In the summer he extended his long-term contract until 2026. His greatest success was winning the U17 World Cup last winter. He was in goal in both the round of 16 and the quarter-finals. He previously won the U17 European Championship with Germany in the summer of 2023.
At international level, he last looked after the box in Bayern’s Youth League game against Basel (3-0) last week.
And now he is in the Champions League squad for the first time in his young career.
