In the defeat of “Ezerzemes”/DU in Tartu, the former leader of the Daugavpils club Andris Širjakovs scored 13 points against the Latvian champion, helping the vice-leader to break a streak of three losses.
Armands Rokjāns was the top scorer for Daugavpils with six points.
The Latgale team is scheduled to play games in Gargždis and Jūrmala next weekend.
The “Barrus” team from the South-Eastern Estonian city of Veru ended a streak of five home games with a victory over RTU/”Robežsardzi” and won the fifth consecutive victory.
Brazilian Renato Santos Oliveiras scored 16 points for Veru’s team, while Matīs Gabdulļins, Jānis Teikmans and Patrikas Pinks scored 11, nine and eight points respectively for the Latvian vice-champions.
“Jēkabpils Lūši” received a technical loss for not appearing in the game. The winner of this season’s Latvian Cup will have her next match on Saturday in Jurmala.
