Badminton News: Nationals 2 and 3 Teams Prep for Their Next Challenges

This Saturday, the Badistas of Salbris will have plenty to do. The Nationale 2 team will want to consolidate its lead, while Nationale 3 will try to get even closer to the accession play-offs.

“I needed more interclub challenges”

In N2, the derby against Bourges promises to be spectacular with four players from the world top 100 expected. The Berruyers could field their flagship player of Indonesian origin, enough to give the Solognots a lot of trouble. For Salbris, Lizzie Tolman should make her debut at home. More of a doubles specialist, she should bring more serenity with her international experience.

Alizée Simon, for her part, has remained loyal to the club for many seasons. “After spending 12 years in my former training club, Carrières-sur-Seine, I needed more challenges in interclubs while keeping the family spirit that I had known until now. Salbris turned out to be a good idea. It’s a club where I could play in N2 with a good atmosphere between all the players. In addition, I wanted to play in a club not too far from Paris, and at Salbris, I already knew a few players,” she confides.

In 4th year of hotel management

Currently in her fourth year of hotel management school, Alizée Simon is working in a 4-star hotel in Paris. The young woman sees herself evolving with more responsibilities and in her twenties as a hotel manager.

On a sporting level, she is determined and feels that the team is great, solid for the N2 with the objective of playing the climb. “We strengthened our team with the occasional support of a foreigner to replace Carla Martinez and that brings us a lot during meetings. This year, I’m doing my best to bring my precious two points per game for the team. For the moment, I’m doing pretty well with only one defeat this season, she smiled. I want to continue to challenge myself even more in national tournaments, especially in women’s singles and doubles. Coming up against players with a better ranking and trying to get a victory is a great challenge while having maximum fun in the tournament. »

Blois traveling in Vienne

Alizée Simon feels very good at Salbris. “They are always ready to welcome me when I come here and the general atmosphere and our objectives for the interclubs are motivating. Having a committed president who works hard to develop the club, with a coach like Maxime Michel, is a real plus. »

As for Blois in Nationale 3, the team travels to Ligugé on Saturday with a very important meeting with a view to maintaining.
