Audi workers accept salary increase to end strike – El Sol de México

After rejecting two contractual offers, 6.5 percent and 7.0 percent, Audi Mexico workers finally accepted a proposal from the company, which consists of an increase of 10.2 percent, 7.0 direct to salary and 3.2 percent in benefits .

With this, the strike at the assembly plant that broke out since last January 24 is officially abolished, and which generated economic losses of approximately 19,500 million pesos, since they stopped producing 19,500 Q5 trucks, which have a value average on the market of one million pesos each.

According to the Independent Union of Audi Mexico Workers (Sitaudi), during the consultation process, which took place this Sunday, February 18 at the University Culture Complex (CCU) of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), A total of 3,348 votes were registered.

Of these, 2,220 were in favor of the 10.2 percent increase, that is, 66.3 percent, while 1,128 votes were against, representing 33.7 percent.

The above means that the majority of workers freely, secretly and directly accepted the salary offer from the company with the four rings, since they considered it as something fair that will help them improve their quality of life.

This result is official, since it was supervised and recognized by personnel from the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration (CFCRL), who were present during the 13 hours that the day lasted.
