Asnawi Debuts in the Thai League Helping Port Win over Muangthong

Bek Indonesian National Team Asnawi Mangkualam made his debut with his new club Port FC in a dramatic 4-3 win over Muangthong United in the Thai League, Wednesday (14/2).

Asnawi, who missed the opportunity to debut when Port faced Police Tero in the previous match, is now given playing time against Muangthong.

The Indonesian national team defender came on in the 90th minute to replace Suphanan Bureerat when the match score was 3-3.

Asnawi also helped Port FC win dramatically 4-3 after Tardeli managed to score the winning goal for his team in the 90+4 minute.

In this match, Muangthong managed to take a 2-0 lead in the first half through two goals scored by Brazilian player Willian Popp in the 28th minute and 45+5.

Then Port FC managed to reverse the position to 3-2 through Teerasak Poeiphimai’s hat trick in the 62nd, 73rd and 76th minutes.

Then Muangthong was able to equalize the score at 3-3 through a goal from Japanese player Kotaro Omori in the 85th minute.

Then Port FC brought in Asnawi, until finally they managed to secure a 4-3 victory through a goal from Brazilian striker Tardeli in the 90+4 minute.

This victory keeps Port FC in third place in the Thai League standings with 35 points from 17 matches played.

This result also made Port FC successful in maintaining a winning trend in six consecutive matches.
