Asian Tour Ortiz wins in Oman

This Sunday took place the fourth round of the International Series Oman in Muscat. The Mexican Carlos Ortiz went for the victory ahead of two other LIV players, Louis Oosthuizen and Joaquin Niemann.

Carlos Ortiz did not provide details. Thanks to seven birdies between holes 6 and 14, the Mexican gradually escaped to the top of the leaderboard during this fourth round. Solid thereafter, the 38-year-old did not concede the slightest bogey and returned a card of 65, the best of the day, to win in Oman (-19 total). The member of Torque GC on the LIV therefore achieves his first success on the Asian Tour.

Carlos Ortiz won four lengths ahead of another player present on the circuit financed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia: Louis Oosthuizen (-15 total). Co-leader after 54 holes played, the South African failed to keep up the pace and signed a score of 69 (four birdies, one bogey). The third step on the podium (-14) is occupied by Joaquin Niemann. The Chilean, also present on the LIV, completed the Al Mouj course in 67 strokes this Sunday (five birdies) without making the slightest error to make a nice rise in the rankings.
