Guérigny. Seven departmental podiums for Asgu badminton. Continuing its good momentum from the Regional 2 championship (currently co-leader with BC Dijon), Asgu badminton shone during the departmentals which were held last weekend in Decize.
President Antoine Colmard’s badists left with seven medals (three gold, four silver). A harvest which could have been more abundant, if Hanna Marchadier, champion of Burgundy-Franche-Comté, had been able to participate. Unfortunately, the number of regional individual entrants was insufficient.
The Garnier brothers were the big winners, Guillaume climbing to the highest step of the podium three times: in singles (ahead of his brother Baptiste), in doubles (with the same brother), and in mixed doubles (with Marie Marchadier). These three victories were obtained at the regional level, the highest present in the department.
Baptiste Garnier also finished second in mixed, with his club partner, Perrine Save. Antoine Colmard and Benjamin Clément completed the table at the departmental level (second in doubles), accompanied by Kévin Crépillon and Laura Chabassière (second in mixed doubles).
