Anticipation is High for Judo Fight Day in Parchim

Those responsible for the judo department at SV Blau-Weiß 69 Parchim are full of anticipation. After the fight debut last year in the Parchimer Weststadt sports hall, the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Judoka Fighting Association (KGJMV) has decided to invite people to the opening fight in the district town this spring. “On this fight day, not only the men will take to the mat, the Bundesliga women will also show off their skills with us,” says Parchim’s judo coach Ronald Pribbernow full of anticipation.

“The fact that we can once again organize a day of fighting in our training hall is a great recognition for our judo club.”

The Parchim judoka are happy that the Weststadthalle is once again made available by the city for this event. The good conditions convinced those responsible for the fighting community right from the first appearance on the Elde. “At that time they promised to come back,” remembers Ronald Pribbernow. On March 16th the time has come.

“The public interest in Parchim and the well-organized tournament preparation and implementation prompted us to hold the first international competition of the year in Parchim again,” said Gunar Rieger, sports consultant for the regional Judo MV association and member of the KGJMV.

“The posters with the information about the judo fight day are ready in time and posted in Parchim.”

The fight day in March starts again with a premiere. The Bundesliga women will be taking to the tatami in Parchim for the first time. From 2.45 p.m. the KGJMV will meet the judo club VfL Stade. And it gets even better for the Parchim judo fans. The Parchimers Stephanie Mulsow and Theresa Sohst will fight for points in the MV team.

Afterwards, from 5 p.m., the men of the Kampfgemeinschaft MV will compete in the 2nd Bundesliga North-East against the 1st Berlin Judo Club.

In the morning the kids can train with the Bundesliga teams

The little judokas are also remembered on this day. In the morning, from 9:30 a.m., the kids have the opportunity to train with their idols in two training sessions. “It was very important to us to make this possible in coordination with the fighting community,” says Ronald Pribbernow on behalf of the judo trainers from SV Blau-Weiß 69 Parchim.
