Andy Murray (67th) reached 500 in Dubai. The Scottish tennis player reached a mark exclusive to four other tennis players in modern history.

With the victory in the tournament debut in the United Arab Emirates, he reached 500 ATP victories on hard courts.

The match against the Canadian Denis Shapovalov (120°), which was not without curiosities, ended 4-6, 7-6 (5) and 6-3 in two hours and 33 minutes.

The exclusive historical list is led by Roger Federer (783), Novak Djokovic (700), Andre Agassi (592) and Rafael Nadal (518).

It is worth remembering that in the last hours, the scotch, champion of three Grand Slam titles and two-time Olympic champion, spoke about the South American tour on the ATP circuit, giving him a push for the future. “South America should have its own tour with its Masters series. The way the fans support the tournaments there is incredible. Tennis is clearly part of their sporting culture“.
