For the 8th edition of the All Star Perche, pole vaulter Renaud Lavillenie, organizer of the competition, is spoiled. Olympic and world champion Armand Duplantis will be present. The Swede will compete in his third competition this year, after an event in Kazakhstan where he did not exceed 6 m, and the Uppsala meeting, at home in Sweden.

A suitable preparation for the world record holder (6m23) with a view to the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow in March, but especially the Paris 2024 Olympic Games this summer (July 26-August 11).

Duplantis is a regular at this All Star Perche. He is participating for the fourth time and has already raised his arms twice in Auvergne. In 2020 with a jump of 6m01, and last year he set a new world record, at 6m22.

This year, the 24-year-old pole vaulter will have to be wary of Kurtis Marschall, who has a personal best of 5m95 and who was a bronze medalist at the World Championship in Budapest in 2023. Also watch out for the Batavians Menno Vloon, winner of the European Games l last year, and who has already jumped beyond 5m95.

On the French side, hopes will rest on Thibaut Collet, three times French champion in the discipline and whose personal best is 5m90.
