Austria’s sports stars David Alaba and Marco Schwarz are on the way back after their respective cruciate ligament tears. The soccer team player and the ski all-rounder presented themselves in pictures on social media during the joint rehabilitation program. “Rehab buddy David Alaba,” Schwarz posted on Tuesday. Both were operated on by surgeon Christian Fink near Innsbruck.
Alaba and Schwarz each suffered a torn cruciate ligament within two weeks at the end of the previous year. The Viennese central defender hopes to take part in the European Championship finals in June, the Carinthian is concentrating on returning to the Alpine World Cup season with the highlight of the home World Cup in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
