The Prime Video platform announced through a press release that it would soon broadcast a documentary which will look back on the last 12 days of the career of the Swiss, winner of 20 Grand Slam titles.

Directed by Oscar-winning director Asif Kapadia and co-director Joe Sabia, it would be an intimate account of the last 12 days of the Swiss’ illustrious career. “Initially, the idea was to capture the final moments of my professional tennis career so that I could later show them to my family and friends,†Federer said in the Prime Video press release. “During my career, I tended to avoid cameras around me and my family, especially during important moments. But this time it was different, it was not intended for the public. However, we captured so many powerful moments that it turned into a deeply personal journey. I am happy to partner with Prime Video because of their international reach and importance in the film industry. Thus, the story of the last days of my tennis career will be able to resonate with tennis fans and the general public throughout the world. HAS”

This documentary, whose official release date has not yet been communicated, should notably return to the Laver Cup, the last competition Roger Federer played in September 2022 alongside tees, among others, of Rafael Nadal.
