2023 record for the Fifa museum in Zurich, 273,000 visitors – Football

The Fifa Museum, home to the history and culture of international football, reached a new milestone in 2023 by welcoming 273,000 visitors, the highest number since its opening in Zurich eight years ago. Another 350,000 online visitors explored the museum’s digital exhibitions, while six million fans around the world were able to engage with the museum’s cultural and educational content throughout the year. The museum’s program began in February with the exhibition “Paolo Rossi, a Golden Boy”.


“We are delighted to have connected with a large community of football and culture lovers, both in person and through our digital platforms. 2023 was a very successful year in carrying forward the mission and responsibility of the Fifa Museum to share the magic of football with the entire world – said CEO Marco Fazzone – In addition to our permanent exhibition, we have highlighted the milestones of women’s football, presented 211 football cultures, explored the intersection between design and beauty game, expanded our global reach and embraced technological innovation. The increase in visitor numbers, coupled with our international resonance and growth, underlines our ongoing commitment to celebrating and safeguarding football’s heritage and culture on a truly global scale “.
