Zalgiris Decides Not to Extend Defender Hollins’ Contract

“Zalgiris” reports that cooperation with defender Hollins will not be continued and the contract will not be extended. “After the trial period, we evaluated all the circumstances and decided to look for other options,” club director Paulius Jankūns comments on the decision. “Hollins was a real professional in that short period of time, and we can only say the best things about him,” says Jankoon.

The 32-year-old American came to Lithuania after suffering a serious injury last season and not playing for a long time. Hollins played eight games in the Euroleague, averaging 12 minutes and 3.9 points. In the Lithuanian championship, Hollins scored an average of 6.3 points in three games and accumulated an average efficiency coefficient of 9.7.

With 14 wins in 16 games, the Kaunas team is in first place in the Lithuanian championship, while Vilnius “Rytas” has the same record. In the Euroleague, with a record of 7-14, the Kaunas team takes 16th place in the competition of 18 teams.
