Distance from Belluno: 1h – 56 km via SS51 di Alemagna
Access: park your car at i new and functional car parks placed close to the slopes. It is possible to reach Cortina d’Ampezzo in 15 minutes using the ski bus service, as well as the slopes of Auronzo and Misurina.

San Vito di Cadore is located in province of Belluno, in a large valley in the heart of the Dolomites at 1,011 meters above sea level, a stone’s throw from Cortina d’Ampezzo. THE 16 km of piste (Donarié, Brosolas and Tambres for the blue slopes, Caprioli, Bianca, Antelao and Serpentina for the red ones and Ciastel for the black ones) are served by 3 ski lifts (2 chairlifts and 1 ski lift) and 1 a treadmill for children.
In addition to the downhill slopes there is also the field school located on the edge of the town with two ski schools: Antelao and San Vito-Borca.

For lovers of cross country skiing in the locality The Graes, starting from Baita Prasolio, there is a 6 km track (free); when weather conditions allow it, a small trail is also groomedAlpe di Senes. The more experienced can try their hand at track Deona (with four long rings) at the Cibiana Pass (1,535 m). This track is also open in the evening on Tuesdays and Thursdays thanks to artificial lights.

Where it costs less to ski in Veneto: Alpe del Nevegàl (BL)

Distance from Belluno: 20 min. – 13 km via SP31
Access: follow the signs for Nevegàl and arrive in Piazzale Nevegàl.

The ski area Alpe del Nevegàl it is located on the northern reaches of the Belluno Prealps, at an altitude of approximately 1,000 metres. The proximity to Belluno and the A27 exit makes this location a strategic destination for Venetian skiers.

For it downhill skis are present approximately 20 km of piste with 5 ski lifts (2 chair lifts and 3 ski lifts) and 1 treadmill in the school field. From 4 January 2019, and for all subsequent Fridays, it is possible skiing at night in the evocative setting of Coca Bassa (lit from 8pm to 10.30pm).

Against: there are few black slopes.

Where it costs less to ski in Veneto: Sappada (BL)

Distance from Belluno: 1 hour and 25 minutes. – 77 km via SS51 di Alemagna
Access: you arrive by car; for those taking the train the closest station is Calalzo di Cadore, from which you can take the bus directly to Sappada (travel time 1 hour); from the Friulian side you get off at Carnia station and there by bus to Sappada.

Sappada it is a ski resort between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, framed by the Dolomites, at 1,200 meters.

The district is characterized by approximately 20 km of downhill slopes with 14 ski lifts (5 chairlifts and 9 ski lifts). The Col dei Mughi slope or Slalom Stadium is illuminated every Friday evening for the skiing at night.

For it cross country skiing there is a stadium (it often hosts international events), which connects to a 20 km ring through the coniferous woods of Val Degano.

Against: for those who love peace, this location is quite popular given its large size.

1 h – 45 km by tram SP46
Access: accessible from both Recoaro Terme and San Quirico di Valdagno with a modern cable car (about 10 minutes). The connection between the Recoaro Terme cable car and the Monte Falcone facilities is via ski bus.

Recoaro Mille is a hamlet of Recoaro Terme, in the province of Vicenza, at 1,006 m above sea level in the Little Dolomites.

The downhill slopes they develop for 8 km (the Monte Falcone slope is more challenging) with 3 ski lifts (2 chairlifts and 1 ski lift).
For the practice of cross country skiing the advice is to reach the Le Montagnole cross-country ski centre, adjacent to the Pizzegoro basin, where there are 28 km of tracks.

The ski area is not very crowded and is generally frequented by families. There is a school camp set up in the Pizzegoro meadows, where the Cima Tunche chairlift and the school ski lift depart. Thus, those who don’t ski can instead dedicate themselves to other activities, as we explain here.

Pro: the location is particularly suitable for those who love relaxation and families.
Against: the area is not very large.

Where it costs less to ski in Veneto: Malga San Giorgio (VR)

Looking forward to reopening in 2023.
Distance from Verona:
55 min. – 4435 km by tram SP6
Access: the starting point of the S. Giorgio slopes is easily reachable thanks to wide and smooth roads.

Malga San Giorgio (VR) is a small ski resort in Lessinia in the upper Val di Squaranto, belonging to the municipality of Bosco Chiesanuova. The district goes from an altitude of 1,505 m up to 1,810 m.

For skiing and snowboarding they are present 5 km of downhill slopes (1 blue, 3 red and 1 black slope) with 3 ski lifts (2 chair lifts and 1 ski lift) and 1 treadmill. The blue “Valon” slope is 600 m long and is suitable for those taking their first steps; the three red ones “Gaibana”, “Belvedere” and “Slalom” are more challenging and the black “Slalom Stadio” is 650 m long and is equipped with artificial lighting (evening opening on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7.30pm to 11pm) and programmed snow.

The location is made famous by cross country skiing.
These can be done on the Carega Group snowshoeing.

For i children There is a school camp.

Pro: the slopes are always passable.
Against: the ski resort is certainly not large.

Costs: the daily ticket on weekdays costs 8while on holidays and public holidays it costs 10the multi-day ticket with 10 entries amounts to 80 . The return trip from Verona costs approx 14 €.
