“We’ve never seen this”: Wembanyama passed the Antetokounmpo test

Giannis Antetokounmpo has trivialized the exceptional, to the point that there are not many people left to widen their still misty eyes when they wake up in front of a statistical line like that of Thursday (44 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists). This is not yet the case for Victor Wembanyama. But at this rate, it will come soon enough. 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 blocks, all in just 26 minutes, Gregg Popovich continuing to manage his minutes since the right ankle injury which had deprived him of the first game of the season between San Antonio and Milwaukee (defeat of the Spurs 132-119 on the Bucks floor, December 19): the French interior confirmed his recent rise in power, since he went from power forward to pivot in his team’s starting five.
