Victory at the Morbihan Indoor Archery Championships: Ronan Pelletier Captures Another Title

Morbihan indoor archery championships

The Morbihan individual indoor championship takes place this weekend in Taupont. On Saturday, the competition concerned young people but also compound bows as well as bare bows. Licensed to the Ploërmel round table archers, Ronan Pelletier once again captured a title in his U21 category. “This must be my fourth or fifth consecutive indoor title.”

Arriving at archery after discovering Jean-Charles Valladon at the 2016 Olympics, he has never stopped since. “Before, I thought archery was only in movies and comics, I didn’t think it was a real sport. Since then I have been training for fun and trying to perform in competitions. I was able to go to France indoors last year.”

This year is a bit special because he had to reduce training a little to devote himself to his studies. “I only train on Fridays and I benefit from remote advice from my first trainer Magali Catteau. So it’s reflected in my performance.” He will therefore go to the Brittany championship without any particular objective this year, especially since the level will be very high with high-level archers.
